There is a motorable road all the way to the top of the hill, an Entry fee is collected at the forest department check post at foot of the hill. The temple is dedicated to Lord Gopalaswamy which is one of the names of God Krishna

Private vehicles and taxi not allowed. Government has arranged for buses to go to top and come back.

We can go till the foothills of this place. The hill is inside forest and government of Karnataka has arranged for buses from there to the top on regular intervals.

We can plan this trip alongwith Bandipur or ooty.
